Diagnosing Asperger syndrome

Balance Asperger Syndrome Team works closely with the assessment diagnostic service provided by Your Healthcare CIC.

Adults with a GP in Kingston can be referred to Your Healthcare for an assessment of possible Asperger syndrome (autism spectrum disorder).

Your Healthcare CIC employs specialist health professionals who have been trained to carry out diagnostic assessments.



Referrals can be accepted from a variety of sources. You can self refer or ask your GP or another health or social care professional to help you.

Sheridan House is open between 8.30am and 4.30pm on Monday to Friday
(the centre is closed at weekends and on Bank Holidays).


If you receive a diagnosis of Asperger syndrome, you will be offered a series of psych-educational sessions (group or individual). You may also be referred to Balance for practical support with aspects relating to Asperger syndrome.
