Balance grows outside of Kingston with gardening and recycling projects
Balance is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a contract to run and further develop two successful projects in the London Borough of Richmond; Garden Gang and Green Power Recycling; which deliver a number of different contracts to maintain gardens and green spaces, empty and sort textile banks and carry out floristry recycling.
These projects create employment and work experience opportunities for individuals with a learning disability, and the existing staff will transfer to Balance on 1st April 2015. We look forward to welcoming them into our organisation.
Balance is a local Social Enterprise that is committed to enabling people to live as independently as possible. Balance is a value driven organisation whose social mission is to improve people’s lives and re-invest into our services for the benefit of the people we support.
Balance is delighted to be working with the Garden Gang and Green Power Recycling projects. Balance already operates similar projects to these, and by bringing them together it allows us to share knowledge, skills and experience and increase capacity.
Balance plans to build upon the great work already carried out and support more people with a learning disability living in Richmond to progress onto paid employment.
