Stud open day - carrot cake 3

Our delicious homemade carrot cake

In New Malden we have a catering kitchen where our service users are supported to learn to make sandwiches, quiches, soup and cakes.  We then sell our products in a lunch delivery to Kingston Council staff at the Guildhall and through our made-to-order catering service.  Customers can also enjoy our homemade food at the Balance Community Café based at King Charles Centre in Surbiton.

Some of our produce from Stud Nursery

We have a site in the grounds of Hampton Court, Stud Nursery, run with the support of Royal Historic Palaces and Kingston Mencap. Our service users enjoy gardening activities such as growing vegetables, potting plants and developing a garden. Stud Nursery also has a woodwork room where we make bird, bug and bat boxes. We also run a daily arts and crafts session, and have recently welcomed a brood of chickens and a flock of ducks to the site.

In April 2015 the Garden Gang and Green Power team joined Balance Community Activities, and provide garden maintenance services and waste clearance across the boroughs of Kingston and Richmond.
